Victory and Conquest

Victory does not mean conquest. Victory is the act of overcoming challenges. Conquest on the other hand is about acquisition.

Acquisition is the act of taking and as such is selfish. Victory can be had without our diminishing the progress of others.

There is another important difference between victory and conquest. A victor can enjoy their victory, a conqueror on the other hand is driven to find the next target. Conquest exists to feed its self, victory is the overcoming of a challenge.
